Microneedling RF or microneedling with radio frequency is a step above regular microneedling. In addition to the microneedling the machine that does this passes radio frequency (RF) waves between the needles. This causes a significant boost to the microneedling. It increases natural collagen and elastin production in the skin. It also increases capillary (blood vessel) support to the skin. It has the additional benefit of tightening the skin. Laser hair removal is a service desired by almost everyone. Our lasers can remove and reduce hair on virtually any part of the body. We use the very latest Cutera technology with a machine that has two lasers, an alexandrite laser and a Nd:YAG laser. Our lasers are much more effective than an IPL device which is not actually a laser. This allows us to treat skin of all colors without harm. Face, chest, nipples, back, armpits, arms legs, bikini line can all be effectively treated. Laser hair reduction is generally not effective for white, red or blonde hair. Tattoo removal is performed using a picolaser. A picolaser has a very short laser pulse duration in the pico second range (1 trillionth of a second). This advancement in laser technology has allowed better tattoo removal than previous slower lasers offered. It can remove virtually any color. An advantage of the pico laser we use is that pulse duration can be changed from the picosecond (trillionth of a second) down to the nanosecond (billionth of a second) range allowing larger ink particles to be broken down into smaller pieces and then cleaned up with the picosecond settings. 10 – 60 minute procedure depending on area. Vein reduction of superficial, small, dilated (widened) unsightly red, blue or purple veins, almost any anywhere on the body, is done with our Nd:YAG laser. Veins that are near the surface of the skin such has facial thread veins or leg, nose or facial veins known as spider veins or telangectasia can be non-surgically treated. Laser treatment may be preferred over injections as some sclerosing agents may travel to the lungs, heart and brain. Larger varicose veins do require treatment other than external laser treatments such as sclerosing agents or lasers fed directly into the vein. 10 – 60 minute procedure depending on area.
Pain control is a part of our practice. Some procedures using micro needles, needles or laser can be painful to some people. We offer BLT: Benzocaine, Lidocaine, Tetracaine numbing creams. Once applied it takes 20-40 minutes to work. We have comfortable inside waiting area for this. We also use the very effective nitrous oxide. Nitrous oxide is a very safe, inhaled gas that makes pain very tolerable and seemingly far away. The effects of the gas fade quickly after use so there is no need for a driver to take you home. Toe Nail fungus is easily treated with our 1064 Nd:YAG laser. Toe nail fungus is also know as onychomycosis and tinea unguium. It can affect toe nails and finger nails. The affected nail is discolored yellow or sometimes white. The nail is often thickened and can start to separate from the nail bed. Three treatment sessions combined with our foot care regimen are usually sufficient to eradicate the nail fungus. 20 minute procedure.
Hydradenitis suppurativa can develop in areas where the skin rubs together such as underarms, the buttocks, under the breasts and in the groin area.
